A state-licensed provider completes the form Sedgwick requested, usually within 24 hours after we have what's needed. Your Sedgwick letter sets the deadline.

A Sedgwick denial letter doesn't always mean your medical situation was reviewed and turned down. Often it means the certification, ROI, or return-to-work form on file didn't meet what Sedgwick asked for — a missing field, an outdated form, or the wrong document for your leave type.
Read the letter first, or check your case at mySedgwick.com/Walmart. It states exactly what's missing and what to do next.

Points keep landing automatically until a leave case is opened with Sedgwick. Filing the case is what changes how those absences are handled — until it's open, the counting doesn't pause on its own.
Once you file, Walmart's guidance for intermittent leave says the missed shifts are coded conditional while Sedgwick decides: not counted as points, but not confirmed as protected either. Recertification absences follow the same pending status. What still isn't documented anywhere we've found is what happens to that conditional period if Sedgwick ultimately denies the case — don't assume either way.
Separately, PPTO can self-protect an individual absence if you submit it within 7 days, though not a No Call/No Show. File the certification so Sedgwick is deciding on a complete record, not a thin one.

Your denial letter states the exact number of days you have to act — check it first. Walmart's own letter describes three steps: contact Sedgwick, submit your documentation, and notify your manager or People Lead that you've requested reconsideration. That window exists to give a fixable paperwork problem a fast way back, not to catch you out.
Call Sedgwick at 800-492-5678 as soon as you have the letter in hand, even before you've gathered everything. A short window is enough time for a call and a resubmission — it isn't meant for rewriting your whole case.
Documentation can also go to your Sedgwick examiner by fax or email. Tell your manager the same day, too — notifying them that you've requested reconsideration is one of the three steps, not an extra.

Denial letters typically state that missing the response window can mean being treated as having voluntarily left your job. Check your own letter for the exact wording — it's usually printed in the same paragraph as the deadline.
That's the outcome the deadline exists to prevent. So act quickly — but the form still has to be complete and accurate, which is what a provider-completed one is built to be.
$49 covers your full Sedgwick case: clinical review, the supported forms it needs, and any Sedgwick verification, clarification, or corrections — no additional charges. Refundable any time before your form is delivered, or if it can't be completed.

Insufficient usually means a required field is blank, an answer is too general, or the form itself isn't the one your case needs. Sedgwick can't approve what it doesn't have in writing.
A form completed and signed by a state-licensed provider, field by field, is built to close that gap the first time.
The appeal path Sedgwick documents is the response window itself: contact them, then submit what's missing. No separate appeals board is named in anything we've reviewed — if your letter names one, follow it.
A licensed provider completing the exact form Sedgwick requested is usually the fastest way to make that resubmission complete.
